Questions
What buyers ask us.
These are the questions people actually put to us — including the ones with uncomfortable answers. Answered here so you do not have to ask twice.
Where is the farm?
The farm is at Essuehyia in the Ekumfi District of Ghana's Central Region, on the Accra–Cape Coast road, about two hours west of Accra. That puts it within reach of both Tema and Takoradi for export consolidation. Buyers are welcome to visit — several have asked, and we would rather you saw the field than took our word for it.
How big is the farm? How many acres do you farm?
We do not publish our planted area. It is the one figure a competitor could act on, and it changes every season as more land is cleared. What we will tell you is whether we can fill your specific order: send us the product, the volume and when you need it, and we will answer plainly — including telling you if it is beyond what we can commit to. That is the question behind the question, and it is the one worth answering.
What can you supply right now?
Fresh ginger rhizome, grown at Essuehyia and graded and packed at the farm. Seven processed formats — dried slices, ground ginger, paste, crystallised, essential oil, oleoresin and tea cut — are published on our products page as in development, not available. We would rather list them honestly as coming than take an order we cannot fill.
Is the ginger organic?
No. We are not certified organic, and we will not imply otherwise — certification is a document issued after an audit, and we do not hold one. What we do have is a record: every field activity is logged from land preparation onward, so we can tell you what went onto a given block and when. If your buyer requires certified organic material, we are not currently the right supplier.
When do you harvest?
Ginger is a long-cycle crop and the harvest window is set by when the rhizome matures, not by the calendar. Ask us for the current window before you plan a shipment — we will give you the dates we are actually working to rather than a comfortable estimate, and we would rather you heard it early enough to plan around.
What do you need from me for a quotation?
Four things: which product, how much and how often, where it is going, and when you need it. Add a name, an email address and a phone or WhatsApp number so we can reach you. There is no account to create and no cart — the quote form at originagribusiness.com/order takes about two minutes, and we reply within two business days.
Do you sell fresh or dried ginger?
Fresh rhizome today. Dried slices are one of the formats in development. The two suit genuinely different buyers, and which one you want changes your shipping cost, your shelf life and your price per kilogram — we have written up the trade-offs at originagribusiness.com/fresh-vs-dried-ginger.
Can I visit the farm?
Yes. We are on the Accra–Cape Coast road at Essuehyia, Ekumfi District, roughly two hours west of Accra. Email info@originagribusiness.com to arrange it. A buyer who has walked the rows is a better buyer for both of us.

The assistant on this site answers most questions straight away, and anything it cannot answer reaches us directly. So does the quote form.
